David Toran, CPA, Founding Partner

Like many before me, I moved to Jackson in 2003 for the amazing skiing and to live an outdoor lifestyle. Through the plethora of jobs I had during my early years in Jackson, I noticed a trend that several organizations needed help with accounting. With an undergrad degree in economics, I thought to myself that with some training this was a service I could provide to the community. I started an MBA program with a concentration in accounting and began studying for the CPA exams. I first put out my shingle offering tax and accounting services in 2011 and am proud to now have a team of accountants sharing in my goal of providing these valuable services to our community. 

Artem Kakadiy, CPA, Managing Partner

I am a licensed CPA in Wyoming, and the managing partner of Toran Accounting. I have extensive experience advising businesses of all sizes with specialties in the areas of construction, real estate, and the healthcare industry. I have been in public accounting since 2014 and had several years of experience working for the Internal Revenue Service.  

Originally from the Boston area, I earned my B.S.B.A. degree from Salem State University as well as my original CPA license in the state of Massachusetts. I fell in love with the White Mountains of New Hampshire in my late 20s with backpacking and skiing taking up most of my free time. This led me to seek bigger and better adventures. My current outdoor passions are surfing Lunch Counter, mountain biking in Cache, backpacking in the Gros Ventre and skiing everywhere.  

I look forward to working and meeting the needs of our community. 

Kenny Phillips, CPA, Tax Partner

I am originally from Altoona, Pennsylvania.  I moved to Swan Valley in 1992 and graduated from Teton High School in Driggs, ID in 1998.  I earned my Bachelor’s in Accounting from Walden University.  I spent the next 17 years (7 of those years in Orlando, Florida), focusing on business management with expertise in leadership, training, customer service, and profitability.  I became a CPA in Wyoming in 2015.  On the personal side, I have a family of 4 and we all love sports – mainly football, basketball, and soccer.  I like to hike and bike in my spare time.
